STYLING WINTER COATS with Kwak Jueun

My first #StyleSundays post is with one of the best fashionistas I know who took out the time from her busy schedule to collab.

Today, we’re styling oversized winter coats/ jackets.

I hardly wear things that are body hugging so this was not so much about the trends for me but more about comfort and a bit of confidence in letting your jacket wear you, rather than the contrary.

Kwak (last name) Jueun (first name) is my South Korean fashionista colleague who lives with me in our cozy Rome apartment close to Mount Compatri.

She’s wearing her first look, a blue coat from Pull and Bear, a practical sweatshirt, culottes and ankle boots. The light pink bag is from Furla.

These round statement glasses are the highlight of everything. They take the outfit from lazy day to ready mode. This is more like Jueun’s style; a cross between laid back and classic, undeniably Korean.

I’m wearing a blue coat too. This time, a thrifted piece from Lord, several sizes larger than me. A basic black turtle neck body (Boohoo), an unlikely denim jacket (Revolt denim), grey toned culottes (New Look) and crocs (Boohoo). The perfect accessory for this would be my all time favourite vintage briefcase. This outfit is very versatile, great for work (in an Italian scenario) or university and since I’m doing both, I can run to and fro without having to worry about looking unprofessional or too serious.

My next outfit is very practical, perfect for day outings with friends, school/college, running errands. It’s a sheep skin jacket from Terranova, a cream oversized turtleneck (Tally Weijl), mom jeans (Tally Weijl) and black platform plimsolls (Alcott). Throw on a black backpack for perfection.

Finally, my favourite look, Jueun styles a black puffa jacket. See it in our Youtube video coming out next week! We’re not done editing but you can catch the snippet below…
